This blend of whole toasted rice kernels and fine sencha green tea from Uji was traditionally considered a peasant's tea in Japan, because rice reduced the price of the tea. Today, Genmaicha is drunk by all segments of society, and it's easy to understand why. Comforting, nutty and uplifting, it's very rich in vitamin B and antioxidants. Perfect in the morning or with any meal.
How To Enjoy: Use approximately 1 tsp per cup. Optimum temp: 80C. Infusion time: 2 mins.
