first flush, spring-picked, Darjeelings are called the champagne of
teas, which must make this a premier cru. Bursting with honeyed, floral
and citrus notes, this vibrant new tea dances across the tongue. Grown
in the lush Gopaldhara gardens, one of the highest in Darjeeling, the
twisted leaves produce a light and mellow tea with a highly moreish
quality.
Use approximately 1 tsp per cup; use fresh, just-off-boiled water and infuse for 3 minutes.
